This is so right on. I used to buy beanie babies, and I sold a few on eBay. The site hasn’t changed much in years! It’s very amateur. You’d think they came from a cottage industry and not a major brand. It baffles me. No Beanie Babies blog (that could be fun), no innovation.

In Brandchannel’s own words: “It is hard to imagine that a brand that thrives on creativity shows such a dismal performance online.”

I couldn’t agree more.

Your input: What brands have you noticed online that have either been innovative or brands that lag behind year after year?

I like to harass my school - Neumont University. For a tech school that “educates the most sought after software developers” they tend to lag behind in many areas of their website - not too many of them publicly accessible.

You should see the student forum - You can’t even view it in a tree structure. I’d try to explain it, but its just too convoluted. It’s incredibly difficult to navigate. I mean, forums (in general) - they have been around for a while, right? I was using forums TEN years ago that were much easier to use than what they have today.
