“She is the expert on Internet marketing, and generous with her knowledge. With what she told me on our first date, I was able to increase the hits on my web site by 20%, which more than covered the cost of her meal!”

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I noticed this comment on my profile and got a real kick out of it.

I met someone in an entrepreneurs class over a year ago. I learned my tip made a book with a list of ways to bootstrap your business: date and learn from smart men who will give you free advice. I thought people would get the wrong idea, but with this quote I thought it safe to say (it’s not one-sided).

I recently read in a business mag how farmers in a small town put their profiles on milk cartons to try to get a date! Now that’s creative.

I applied to Date Lance but I didn’t make the cut (or maybe he’s stopped dating)!! I even tried to interview him on the experience (a great tv show or video or podcast) but he never replied. What he didn’t know is I would’ve had him blogging about it in about 3 months flat. It kills me when people leave money on the table.

I’m curious if my blog readership has changed over time. I’ve talked more about women entrepreneurs recently. Quantcast tells you the ratio of males/females who view your site. I just put the code on my blog and it is still picking up information. When there’s more data, I’ll post it.

Good subject for Valentines Day, Janet, and of course you know
that you can count on me (one of your cheerleaders)for support especially when you say that you’re a Wise Investment for your internet dates and Lance too if he’d be wise and smart enough to respond and take you up on it. I would also like to give some Valentines Day info for those girls who read your blog. I recently saw author Jina Bacarr on a thread. She is the author of romance novels for eharlequin.com and Spice Books and she is a great author and a HOOT 2 BOOT! If your interested in some WONDERFUL romance novels I’d suggest you girls check it out. The Blonde Geisha is out now and Naughty Paris will be released soon. Jina also recommends Tease by Suzanne Forster and Dirty by Megan Hart. Jina also interviews another up and coming author Kayla Perrin and recommends Getting Even, Getting Some and Getting Wild by Kayla. The Spice Books are also available in audio thru audible.com as some of the others may be also. If interested Jina’s website is at:

Janet, I was not at ASWest but I would like to have been.
Hope you had a great time and met some intersting and
wildly fun people. You Take Care (Newspaper)grl ! And keep us posted here on your Hottest Dates and how we can reach them too!! lol
Jina Bacarr can also be seen at dailymotion.com/Jina_B

    Tawnie,
Yeah, don’t think you’ll read about any hot dates here. That would be an entirely different blog, one I’m not interested in writing.
As always thanks for being my cheerleader. I imagine most of my readers aren’t into romance novels and frankly life has enough passion that they’ve never compelled me. However, I believe in being an open forum.
I think the “Date Lance” project is really fun and funny. However, if the point was to get him married off, then it looks like it hasn’t been successful. More exposure sometimes is not the answer.
Sometimes I wonder (and now with a free tool I found I can check) what the ratios are of male/female readers. I wonder if it’s changing at all. As I meet more women entrepreneurs I’m influenced by them and it’s showing up in my blog.
    Best,
    Janet

What tool allows you to determine the sex of the “anonymous” internet user accessing your blog..?
