Great Article! I think your research has done well to highlight and explain the burgeoning Muslim market. The majority of marketing aimed at Muslims living in the west is done online in order to more effectively target this fragmented market. Muslims, like other communities, as you've pointed out, have a distinct identity. Some Muslim entrepreneurs from the west have sought to unify the seemingly conflicting values of wanting to fit into the Western society they have grown up in, while at the same time observing religious values. Clothing is one prominent aspect to the Muslim's distinct identity. One company in particular, Shukr Clothing of the online retailer www.shukronline.com have attempted to unify these values by offering clothing that is in keeping with western tastes while at they same time remains modest.
Sorry about the long-winded post. I'm hopeful that marketers will start to recognize the Muslim market.

Kind Regards,
Deeqa

Good summary muslim online marketing - some of the links are not working, though.
Best, Niklas
