I Heart Zemanta – Now with PRWeb Press Releases
I just learned about Zemanta, added the plugin and started using it. I’m in love. It takes your blog posts, other people’s related posts, your images, other people’s images and you can add the content with a click. Also has tags and I haven’t figured out how, but it also has affiliate links from Amazon.
Now PRWeb has partnered with Zemanta so you can choose related press releases to add to your story – again with a click. The options show up in the right hand column of your blog admin in WordPress. PRWeb says over .5 million blogs link to their press releases (see this search of Google).
I’m pretty excited about the innovation I see with press releases, social media and blogging. There’s newcomers presslift.com and pressdoc.com that are not about distributing news but aggregating social content in one place and sharing it. I’m planning to try both out and blog about the results.

Hi Janet, I found you through your comment on the recent Problogger Guest Post on WHY BLOGGERS DON’T GET COMMENTS.
I particularly enjoyed reading your comment, so I clicked on your website. YUP, I like your style, but I didn’t comment on the most recent post BECAUSE I didn’t have anything to say.

But the Zemanta one, unfortunately, I do. Perhaps I didn’t understand how to use it, but my biggest challenge were the problems it cause with the theme I was using.
I can’t be real specific because I had my “back end” person diagnose the problem and so I removed Zemanta, and VOILA, the problems disappeared.
Anyway, I’ll be following you from now on.

Lots of luck with your book sales. BTW, I do review books on two of my blogs.

Shari,
Interesting – I must write in a style that doesn’t invite comments. Is that ok or should I try to change it? I admit that sometimes I wonder, is anyone getting anything out of this. Then think well at least I am!
I’ll be happy to send a copy of my book either the ebook or physical. I’ll email you to get your blog URLs.
Thanks for reading and for your comment. It gave me something to think over…

Actually, Janet, your STYLE did invite comments, it was the SUBJECT matter on the Affiliate article that didn’t inspire me to comment.

DON’T change your style.

We’ll see what we can do!

Another option for cheap press release distribution is Press RElease Group at
http://www.pressreleasegroup.com/
They offer a similar service, maybe not as well known… but certainly lower price.
keep up the good work.
