Thanks for the kind responses everyone! This is a BIG step in my life as you can imagine.
Stephen and I met online – of course. Our second date was my birthday and he took me to Market Street Grill (I love crab) and to the symphony. Our attention was more on each other than the wild guest violinist.
It took over four years and a close friendship before I had the courage to start thinking seriously about marrying him.
Lest you think this is all personal – here’s the lesson – Stephen is an amazing marketer. He kept in my life and on my mind just enough not to scare me away but enough that I didn’t forget him. He didn’t overdo it but was there during important times.
He’s a financial planner and works for a company but it’s more like he has his own business. My son and I are moving in with him in July. I wanted to elope but he wanted a bigger wedding. Since he’s a planner I let him take the lead on that.
So if I seem a bit distracted lately, there’s a lot going on and I’m glad to finally announce the good news.
Janet, I have loved you from day one and have appreciated our wonderful friendship, your intellect, and the spirit of happiness you bring into my life. I look forward to a wonderful life together and perhaps you can teach me a thing or two about the internet!! Stephen
Do you love her enough to be the man she deserves – not just the most familiar one who will buy her a few shiny things? Perhaps after FOUR YEARS of NOT doing so, you’re worn down too and will eventually become so. The internet’s not the only thing she can teach you.
wow!!!interesting story….if it is me, i wont take a risk as you did mean meet online….you such a brave girl…i really hope you both enjoy your new life and have a great journey!!!
