Paul Wilson and I were going to develop this into a voting web site. Basically it was going to be a site in which anyone in the world could register to vote on who they would like to be the future president of the United States. You see, we want to market everything AND the kitchen sink.

But, being slightly ADD, we’ve overextended ourselves. We’re still working on two ebooks, Scholar.ly, and our dating web site (which is being redesigned right now). We realize this can be a great domain – www.myfuturepresident.com for someone else.

For more info, look at our listing myfuturepresident.com on Sedo.

Pretty soon we will also sell another political domain name: political.ly – I really love this one because it’s so web2.0 and unique. It was an adventure registering it. I’ll link to it when it’s through the verification process.

What’s the plan for monetization on your scholarship site…just curious. Thanks!

    Hi Janet,
When I was reading your blog awhile ago, I noticed
that you mentioned the two of you working on your
dating site like you mentioned on today’s blog.
What is your site URL for that?
Also hope your teaching class is going well for you!

Paul said he’d take the first question.
I’ll take Tawnie’s question: the site is http://www.ldsfriends.com. You’ll have to see the before and soon the after. It’s going to be transformed.
    Life is good but packed!
    Janet

B- Janet asked that I answer your question on scholar.ly since I’m spear heading the project. In phase one we plan to heavily rely on affiliate marketing. Commission Junction has some great affiliate programs that doesn’t require college students to buy anything. All they require is the student’s information. They are using it mainly for a lead generator.

Phase two will be focused on working with the community to establish revenue share model with the users. It is our hope to be able to create a fluid interaction between the community and the business where both win.

I hope that answers your question. If you have any suggestions, or if anyone wants to pitch an idea let Janet and I know. Thanks for your interest. ~Paul W.
