By the way, just out of curiousity… the last time I was involved in SEO… (more than 2 and half years ago) it was widely known that it isn’t possible to optimize rich media content such as flash for SEO.

Is this still true?

The two rules you missed are: The rules change, and anything you overdo will bite you back.

Google seems to prefer well designed sites. If you find yourself feeling that you are compromisng site design for SEO purposes, you probably should not do it. Personally, I only use a SEO measure when I feel that it is improving the site.

IMHO, one should always care about the users of the site first, the quality of the design second and SEO last.

SEO can drive a sane person crazy. Design should not get in the way of search engines. However, if there is a choice, go for what helps the real life person over what gets new traffic. What good is a new site visitor if they do not stay on your site once they arrive?

At times, I think it is a bit difficult to stick to the rules without compromising on site design, but hey, something should work.

I guess I better watch out to the sites I link back to. Hmm.
